Héroe Haradrim

 Un día, buceando por internet en busca de imágenes sobre haradrim para inspirarme di con un blog de una persona que jugaba con un ejército haradrim y, mirando las imágenes de una partida que había jugado, me fijé en una miniatura muy particular con una gran espada a dos manos. Lo primero que pensé fue que esa miniatura quedaría genial para hacer de héroe haradrim. La pena era que en el blog no se hablaba nada sobre ella. Sabía que no era de la gama de ESDLA de GW, por lo que me puse como un loco a buscar entre todas las gamas de miniaturas históricas de sarracenos, moros...etc a ver si la encontraba, pero sin ningún resultado. La miniatura tenía un estilo que recordaba mucho al de las miniaturas de fantasía de GW, pero sabía que GW nunca había hecho ningún ejército de estética árabe para su juego de fantasía.

My first thought was that this miniature would look great as a haradrim hero. The pity was that nothing was said about her on the blog. I knew it was not from the LOTR range of GW, so I went like crazy to search among all the ranges of historical miniatures of Saracens, Moors ... etc to see if I could find it, but without any results. The miniature had a style that was very reminiscent of GW's fantasy miniatures, but I knew that GW had never made any army of Arab aesthetics for their fantasy game.

El caso es que tras días buscando y buscando sin cesar di con un antiguo catálogo de Citadel, parece que de antes de que la empresa se llamara GW, de principios de los 80, donde aparecía la miniatura. ¡Anda que no tenía años! Con la información que allí encontré y preguntando en algunos chtas de jugadores fui capaz de dar con un ejemplar que se vendía en ebay y lo compré sin dudarlo. La mini tenía varios desperfectos, no sé si por el paso del tiempo o por ser una copia de mala calidad, el caso es que tras un par de semanas de obsesión había conseguido la mini:

The mini had several flaws, I don't know if due to the passage of time or because it was a poor quality copy, the fact is that after a couple of weeks of obsession I had gotten the mini:

La mini, por cierto, se denomina "eastern fighter with scimitar", de Citadel y Ral Partha, por si a alguien le interesa y quiere buscar una. Como se puede apreciar, la mini tenía varias giretas y desperfectos, por lo que intenté taparlos con un poco de masilla verde y, de paso, aproveché para esculpir toscamente algún detalle decorativo más para que encajara mejor con el ejército haradrim:

Los colores empleados para la pintura son los mismos que en el resto del ejército: negro, rojo, morado y turquesa. El aspecto una vez pintado es este:

La mini encaja muy bien con la de Suladan, ya que ambos tienen el mismo modelo de casco tipo sarraceno:

Estoy bastante satisfecho con la mini y creo que queda bastante bien dentro del ejército, tiene una pose que encaja muy bien con la de héroe. Como encaja tan bien con la de Suladan, de momento la estoy usando para representar a Raza, el guardaespaldas de Suladan, aunque también encajaría bien como rey.

I´m quite satisfied with the mini and I think it looks quite good in the army, it has a pose that fits very well with that of a hero. Because it fits so well with Suladan's, I'm using it for the moment to represent Raza, Suladan's bodyguard, though it would also fit well as king.
